2.1) More the distance between the two genes on q chromosome more will be the chances that a recombination and crossing over event can take place. So, if the distance is less it is more likely the genes will be inherited togethor as this shows linkage. If the genes are far they show recombination and may not be inherited togethor.

2.5) Ionic bond is the bond formed between ions in which cation is the donor of electron and anion is a acceptor. These Are strong bonds. Eg.NaCl bond.

Covalent bond is the bond formed during the sharing of electron between the two atoms. For eg. Bond between Carbon and Hydrogen in CH4.

2.2) Cytoplasmic inheritance is the maternal inheritance where the cytoplasmic qualities or genes etc are inherited to the zygote and thus, the offspring. This is because the mother egg is large and forms the cytoplasm of zygote.

One eg. Is cytoplasmic male sterility in the plants.

2.3) Water is the universal solvent, because it dissolves all the solutes in it. It forms hydration shell, with the ions, and other substances which are soluble in water , have appropriate hydration energy etc.
