X_bar=106, \mu=116, \sigma=27, n=47

1) test statistic Z = (x_bar - \mu) /(\sigma/\Gamman)

= (106-116)/(27/\Gamma47)

Z = - 2.54

Test statistic Z =-2.54

2) p value for Z test statistic is 0.01.

Result:

The p value (0.01) is less than 0.10. hence reject null hypothesis at 10% level of significance.

3) conclusion :

The test statistic is - 2.54. p value (0.01) is less than 0.1 . hence reject null hypothesis at 10% level of significance. It is conclude that population mean are not equal to 116.
