\mu= 111

\bar x =119

\sigma =26

n = 49

This is the two tailed test .

The null and alternative hypothesis is ,

H0 :  \mu  = 111

Ha : \mu    \neq 111

Test statistic = z

= (\bar x - \mu ) / \sigma / \sqrt n

= (119 -111) / 26 / \sqrt 49

= 2.154

Test statistic = z =  2.15

it is observed that ∣z∣=2.154 > zc​=1.64, it is then concluded that the null hypothesis is rejected.

P-value =0.0313

\alpha = 0.10

P-value < \alpha

0.0313 < 0.10

Reject the null hypothesis .
