When hydrogen gas is collected over water by reacting HCl with aluminum-zinc alloy, is there anything related to kinetic molecualr theory going on? Especially when displacing the water from a flask to a beaker through rubber tubie.
I think kinetic molecualr theory is nothing to do. Since water is the by product of the reaction , displacing of water shifted the reaction in forward direction according to le chatelier's principle.

A materials scientist has created an alloy containing aluminum, copper, and zinc, and wants to determine the percent composition of the alloy. The scientist takes a 11.282 g sample of the alloy and reacts it with concentrated HCl. The reaction converts all of the aluminum and zinc in the alloy to aluminum chloride and zinc chloride in addition to producing hydrogen gas. The copper does not react with the HCl. Upon completion of the reaction, a total of 8.70 L...
Hydrogen gas is prepared in the laboratory by reacting dilute HCl with granulated zinc. Following reaction takes place. Zn + 2HCl → ZnCl2 + H2 Calculate the volume of hydrogen gas liberated at STP when 32.65 g of zinc reacts with HCl. 1 mol of a gas occupies 22.7 L volume at STP; atomic mass of Zn = 65.3 u.Read more on Sarthaks.com - https://www.sarthaks.com/117934/hydrogen-prepared-laboratory-reacting-dilute-granulated-following-reaction-takes-place

To do this, refer to equation 5 and the discussion preceding it. Calculate for % Al=0.25.50.75, and 100. Place these points on the graph and Draw the best straight...
Hydrogen gas is produced by the reaction of hydrochloric acid, HCl, on zinc metal. 2HCl (aq) + Zn (s) --> ZnCl2 (aq) + H2 (g) The gas is collected over water. If 106 mL of gas is collected at 28C and 775 mmHg, what is the mass of hydrogen collected? (vapor pressure of water at 28C is 25.6 mmHg)
Q2 part1. Hydrogen gas can be readily prepared by reacting zinc metal with hydrochloric acid: Zn(s) + 2HCl(aq) → ZnCl2(aq) + H2(g) A sample of zinc metal was decomposed in hydrochloric acid and the hydrogen gas was collected over water. The volume of gas collected is 0.798 L at 25oC and a total pressure of 735 torr. How many grams of zinc were decomposed assuming there is an excess of hydrochloric acid? [Hint: the vapor pressure of water at 25oC...
When 0.40 g of impure zinc reacted with excess hydrochloric acid, 127mL of hydrogen gas were collected over water at 10 degrees C at a total pressure of 737.77 Torr. The vapor pressure of water at 10 degrees C is 9.21 Torr. The reaction in question is: Zn (s) + 2HCl (aq) --> ZnCl2 (aq) + H2 (aq) A.) what amount (in grams) of H2 gas was collected? B.) what is the percentage of purity of the zinc, assuming that...

Jus Magnesium reacts with HCl(aq) to produce hydrogen gas. When a student collected the hydrogen from the reaction over water, he forgot to account for the vapor pressure of water. The calculated grams of magnesium in the experiment would be: Unnafected Too high Not enough information to tell Too Low
