Terrorist threats have become increasingly common. The government, as well as all types of organizations in many industries, are using programs for assessing these threats, providing countermeasures, and communicating with those affected.

What level of activity do you see in your organization or by your government representatives? How effective do you feel these actions are? What else should be done?

After 9/11 the attack on World Trade Center, the security scenario in the entire world has changed significantly and there has been an upsurge in the terrorist attacks. In order to deal with these threats, not only the governments but different organizations are also taking initiatives to assist the local police and educating the common people about how to deal with these events.

In my city, there is a close coordination between the government authorities and the NGOs which are trying to educate the common people about the possible threats, they are conducting various projects and plans to educate tie people of how to determining the suspect elements or individual, what to do in case of terrorist attacks, whom to contact and how to safeguard herself and others.

Different mock drills are also conducted by the private organization so that their employees remain on their heals and can learn how to react in case of a real terrorist attack.

I am kind of satisfied with these activities performed by the private organization s and the government but there is always a chance to improve as it is a well-known fact that security agency has to be 100% vigilant and successful to prevent terroirs attacks while terrorist just needs one chance to be successful.

The government should focus more on providing information on dealing with these situations to children by educating them in their schools and colleges and providing some mandatory classes for rescue and safety management.
