  • A. AB blood group --- contains antigens A and B, hence forms clumping with both serums.
  • B. A blood group --- The A blood group contains antigen A on the surface of RBC. Hence forms agglutination with serum anti A.
  • C. B blood group --- contains antigen B, hence forms clumping with serum anti B
  • D. O blood group --- Contains neither A nor B antigen, hence no clumping seen.

2. The B blood group, as a donor is incompatible with A and O, because both makes anti - B antibodies that will react with B antigens.

3. The O blood group as a recipient is compatible with blood group O only. It is incompatible with A, AB and O as it makes anti A and anti B antibodies.
