equivalent resistanc eis

1/R' = 1/R2+1/R2+1/R2

R' = 23.7/3 = 7.9 ohm

R' and R1 are in series

R tot = 7.89+7.9 = 15.79 ohm

total current i = v/Rtot = 10.6/15.79 = 0.671 A

in a sereis current is same

so current across the R1 resistor is i1 = 0.671 A

across R2 is i2 = 0.671/3 = 0.224 A

b) power = i^2R

energy E = p*t = 0.671^2*15.79*2.49*60 = 1062.1 J
