Answer #1

H0: p = 0.2
Ha: p > 0.2

Here the significance level, media%2F02a%2F02a982ff-6259-4ef8-b6e7-c2 0.05. This is right tailed test; hence rejection region lies to the right. Z(a) - 1.645 i.e. P(z > 1.645) = 0.05

This is right tailed test
Reject H0 if z > 1.645

pcap = 35/145 = 0.2414
n = 145

Test statistic,

P- P := V(p* (1 -p)/n
z = (0.2414 - 0.2)/sqrt(0.2*0.8/145)
z = 1.25

This is right tailed test
p-value = P(z > 1.25)
p-value = 0.1056

As test statistic < 1.645, fail to reject H0
There is not significant evidence to conclude that more than 20% students believe the BB therory decribes.
