Answer #1

According to Chegg policies, I ought to solve only 4 questions at a time.

Answer 1- Amidst the uncertainties of the global community, we can come together to overcome the unfortunate circumstances faced by the world and build the fortunate, sustainable, equitable and inclusive society by opting sustainable development goals in all fields including business. For businesses to have a positive effect and comply in SDGs there are a variety of compelling factors. In addition to appealing to society's demands for more openness and responsibility, balancing benefit and intent will create a specific strategic edge that is ideal for discerning customers and investors.

In addition to creating new sales and growth, diversity and convergence are more and more tied to increased business success and intensify talent competitiveness. Industries now compete internationally with relatively little technological and skilled skills. Corporate citizenship (i.e. role of a corporation in or obligations to society) appears on the talent market as a significant criterion. This has helped increasingly environmentally conscious businesses to establish a foothold in the recruitment, engagement and retention of top workers. The perception that stronger, more varied abilities produce greater outcomes is increasing – as well as proof.

Optimizing durability supply chains can reduce procurement costs and improve operating efficiency. A social impact can improve cost reduction and productivity optimisation outside sales improvement through innovation and new business opportunities.

The SDGs are now used as the basis for measuring the socioeconomic and economic benefits of other sustainability projects. Social benefit organizations are increasingly available in a variety of areas – from charitable donation and expenditure benefit to partial loan incentives, and success rewards – as part of their key market strategies. Therefore, it is quite reasonable for a business to abide by the norms of SDG and apply it in business world for the growth of the society and individual.

Answer 2- The meaningful engagement of the business with SDGs consist of the following factors, which would be beneficial for the business to grow:-

Awareness- The different level of management should be aware of the fact that DSG exist and that would be beneficial if applied properly. Organizations should not only understand the SDGs but also make it their business to do so closely. It is partly because, in addition, the SDGs give the corporate world a tremendous boost.

Target- Companies must ensure that they are now aware of action and engagement with respect to the SDGs. SDGs need strategic commitment – to explore whether businesses, in addition to corporate-citizenship spending, will build good-for-the-society goods, programs and creative business models. When priorities are established at a corporate stage, a better argument may be made to demonstrate the success and commitment of an organization.

Inspiration- Evidence convinces, but never encourages, intervention and the SDGs, above all, is about decisive change. Therefore, a company needs to inspire in according to work for the benefit of the business so the business must make their employees aware of the successful businesses that used SDGs.

Collaboration- Significant changes must come from awareness that the SDGs are intertwined by their own definition. To accomplish one aim is almost always contingent on success for another; companies are becoming increasingly conscious that in declining economies they cannot thrive.

Answer 3- The Lebanon agreement entitled 'SDGs in Lebanon: review of the gaps and development monitoring' was signed by the UNDP. The launch of the project acknowledged the need for an administrative framework to implement the Agenda through the creation of the national SDG Committee (June 2017), to guide, organize, and build the national SDG data base. Therefore the committee suggested some targets to be fulfilled during the time period:

-Integrate with the goals of sustainable growth the policies, schemes and measures implemented by the new administration.

-Raise consciousness about sustainable development priorities and the value of achieving SD goals.

-Create a Regional Sustainable Development Indicators Framework to figure out where the country is and where it wants to be, what challenges and barriers it faces in meeting its objectives.

-To ensure coherence among multiple stakeholder commitments to SDG accomplishments, a coordinated national development plan implementing SDGs was made available for all development stakeholders, including the private sector. To order to ensure the position of targets, the strategy will be adopted under an inclusive, participative and open national dialog process.

-An updated PPP plan for the introduction, supervision and review of PPPs and the development of a regulatory system. There should be no accountability, data scarcity or access to information until sustained funding for private-sector development is tackled.

-The evaluation of a rights-based method of IFI and EU regulation guidelines. Shrinking policy room is also to be discussed as, in order to ensure 'economic development,' 'jobs' etc., these actors have advocated common recipes on privatization and PPPs and the introduction of MDGs.

Answer 4- The Sustainable Development Objectives (SDGs) provide an important catalyst for social, economic and environmental problems to improve. Considering that the appetite from customers for transparency and evaluations across the whole market sector is evolving, this may today be a huge opportunity for an organization. The acceptance of the goals will transform the way we conduct business radically. You will turn global problems and risks as market opportunities while simultaneously leading to a healthier environment by aligning your corporate approach with SDGs. Global challenges such as scarcity of resources, population development, injustice and climate change may all result in measurable risks and market management opportunities. The SDGs offer an outstanding roadmap for identifying the highest possible commitments towards the company and creating a comprehensive action plan towards real impact and organizational strategy.

The Sustainable Development Goals present a huge potential. Chances to achieve both corporate growth and tackle some of our toughest problems, of which one does not have to substitute the other. Take into account the overall positive effect of your company on one or more of the SDGs, your key companies make tangible changes and reinforce your brand. Developing this approach to have a net positive effect, without relying on implementation, is a perfect example of how you will render your sustainability activities at the next step.
