a. It is possible that they migrated from 12 to 9 to bypass the volcanic heat and other effects.

b. Maybe they reach there to get some relief from the hot land and that's they choose to go seaside.

c.By moving towards the seaside maybe they were in search of a cold and moderate climate.

d. It is also possible that on moving to seaside they went to inland areas to save themselves from the plate tectonic movements.

e. They just change their location and they did not cross the plate tectonics.
