Answer #1

Exponential smoothing = Forecast of the previous week + Alpha x (Actual of the last week - Forecast of the previous week)

Forecast for week 2= 25

Actual for week 2 = 27

Forecast week 3 = 25 + 0.2 x (27-25)

F3= 25 + (0.2 x 2)

F3= 25 + 0.4

F3 = 25.04

Forecast week 4 = 25.04 + 0.2 (23- 25.04)

F4= 25.04 + (0.2 x -2.04)

F4= 24.632
