Treatment with 5- bromouracil causes the replacement of A:T with G:C The removal of one or more gene pairs.
Oxidative deamination via nitrous acid causes this type of mutation.
Treatment with dimethyl sulfide causes this type of mutation.

Because transition is defined as the mutation in which purine is replaced by purine( Adenine, guanine) nd pyrimidine is replaced by pyrimidine ( cytosine, thymine and uracil)
