Alexis de Tocqueville observed and wrote about the United States. If you were asked to observe and write about the United States from 1815-1849, what would you write about? During 1815- 1849, the United States is marked by different forms of events. The states were in the process of consolidating the units and making the United States as we see today. One striking phenomenon that starts occurring in the united states during this time is the coming of millions of immigrants from other countries. It is important to highlight and let the readers know of the American we see today as multicultural have always been welcoming immigrants. Besides, the country was two also composed of two main parts— the North and the South which is an important event in the demographic organisation. The best way to describe United States during this time is of having the most potential and dynamic in the social composition and the idea of a great country. This is beacuse, the United States was getiing stronger in fighting invaders and was able to achieve consolidation of many territories and at the same time welcoming immigrants.
