Answer #1

The legal role of privacy in procreation issues is the ability of a person or group to isolate themselves or information about themselves and thus to express themselves selectively.

When something is private to a person, it usually means that something is inherently special or sensitive to them. The privacy domain partially overlaps with security, which may include concepts for appropriate use as well as information protection. Confidentiality can also take the form of bodily integrity. The right not to be subjected to unauthorized invasions of privacy by government, corporations or individuals is part of the privacy laws of many countries, and in some cases constitutions.

In the business world, a person can submit voluntary personal data, including for advertising, to get some benefit. Public figures may be subject to rules of public interest. Personal information that is voluntarily shared but subsequently stolen or misused can lead to identity theft.

The concept of universal privacy is a modern concept associated primarily with Western culture, particularly British and North American, and has remained almost unknown in some cultures until recently. However, most cultures recognize the ability of people to retain certain pieces of their personal information from the wider community, such as closing the door to someone's home.
