(a) Gravitational force =mg =64 x9.8 =627.2 N

Work by gravitational force = mgh =64 x9.8 x5.5 =3449.6 J

(b) Due to moving up the man gain potential energy of 3449.6 J

And this energy is supplied by escalator.

So work done by escalator on man= 3449.6 N
