Answer #1

Hi, I would love to answer you with this question, I hope you will get a clear idea related to the same. So not wasting much time lets get started.

The answer below will be in the four different parts as in the question which are:

  • System Development and its factors
  • Successful System
  • Failed System
  • How to model a system for success

1. System Development and its factors

System development is the process of the designing and creating a new software, application or any program. This can include any sort of the internal development or any external development fixing the softwares and the creation of the third party softwares or the programs. System development aims towards the high quality products to be made and been distributed or used, this aims towards the limited resource usage and the high quality production.

During the development process, there are so many different methodologies for the development of the system , some examples of which are agile model, waterfall model, prototype model, V-model etc. Some of the steps that are needed to be taken for the development of the system like preliminary analysis, system analysis, development, testing and maintainance.

The factors affecting the system development are as follows :

  • Degree of change
  • Standard and quality of the system been developed
  • Resources used for the development
  • Time management for the development
  • CASE models

2. Successful system

To identify or create a successful system the system must meet the high-quality standards and the system must be engineered and this can lead to the development of successful system development. Some of the other factors can be as the project been developed must be completed and deployed under budget, this is one of the most important factors as if the project goes overpriced then it is not most suitable for the consumption. Some of the factors for the successful system are as follows:

  • High-quality product
  • Object-oriented approach in the development
  • Usage of the project management tools
  • Development on time
  • New ideas for the development neglecting the outdated systems in the market

3. Failed System

Failed system is the worst thing that could happen in the scenario of the system development. The system is cateogrised into the failure for not meeting the quality standards or the high maintenance and many other factors which would be mentioned below. If the system does not meet all the requirements which are set before the development process then the system is mostly considered to be a failed system. Some of the factors which may help in determining the failed system are as follows :

  • Poor Development practices adopted
  • Bad user interface
  • Faulty hardware which may disrupt the system
  • Improper and inadequate user training for the usage of the system
  • Incorrect assumptions related to the resources been required
  • Fail in assumption of the price

4. How to model a system for success

Modelling a system for the success is the first and the basic approach for any system development. There are so many models for the development of the successful system whether we talk about the waterfall model, agile model, spiral model, or the prototype model. These all models are been developed for the different types of the projects and the correct selection of the model depends on the development team or the head , which results in the proper path for the development without any problem in the approach rest depends on the development. So the basic concept for the successful model is to provide a high quality product we need to analyze the system , requirement of the system and the resources after channelising these things the model of development must be selected.

Mostly in the large syatem development or the projects the approach which is been used by the teams is agile model of development and the prototype model of the development. These models minimize the risk of the failure as the recommendations are been taken step by step and fixing the errors and the problems in the development procedure. The software development life cycle is the thing which plays a role in all these determining the steps in the different models to be taken

I hope you got an answer and a clear idea related to the same
