The advantages of retirement are -
1) no more job responsibilities.
2) there is ample and lots of time in the hand when the person can do things that they like and can make time for oneself, friend, family etc..
3) The person is free, relax and mentally calm when there is no pressure etc.
4) The person can make new friends, new hobbies which they can try.
Negative point are -
1) there is no salary for the person because of which the person have to be conscious about spending of money. He has to be dependent on the people, relative etc for their money work..
2) Secondly, the person suffers from social and emotional effects like loneliness, sometimes when someone's social life is totally tied up with their work, retirement can change it totaly.Mental health problems are very common.
3) Moreover some people are very active and mobile during their work time following a proper time table and schedule but for those people they become physically immobile, inactive and loose due to retirement.
4) With increase in age, retirement period the person can shift to new habits which can be beneficial sometimes but the person can start with drinking, smoking etc which can affect their health, cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease etc..
5) sometimes they can loose their office friend, contact after retirement..
