a person who has BMI of 26.2 can have more muscles and bone tissue than another person who has same BMI
BMI is the body mass index, which is a measure of person’s weight according to his height
Calculated by person’s weight divided by square of his height.
It is just the average body composition and depend on both height and weight. May be 2 individual have same BMI but they differ in their height and weight as they have different body weight and height but somehow BMI came out to be the same. Also developed muscles are denser than fat and BMI does not account for this. And an athlete having a good height would be classified as underweight. These are some of the limitations of BMI that states that is does not give an overall features of the body but just the idea of his body weight related to his height.
