5. (a) In order to decrease the abundance of blowfish, allow to decrease the food of blowfish : water plants, mud snails and clam. The number of predator eaten the blow fish : osprey and merganser increases, the number of blowfish wI'll decreases. But the decreasing number of this blowfish affects other organisms .

Similarly, to maintain flukes increase the hosts of flukes.

(b) To decrease the abundance of tern , change its food chain . Decreasing in the number of it's prey : silverfish decreases the abundance of tern. The reduction in the number of prey affects tern population.

Similarly to maintain  osprey abundance , allow the food eaten by osprey to grow such as eel, blowfish etc . Thereby osprey get food and the abundance of osprey can be maintained.

6. If the number of top carnivorous decreased due to disease , it affects the whole ecosystem. Thereby cause ecological imbalance .

Explanation ( why ) - In a stable ecosystem, the increase or decrease in the number of a species affects the whole ecosystem. The prey of the carnivorous will grow abudent. Thereby it affects food eaten by them. Thus, all the organisms should face the reduction in the top carnivorous.

7. The biodiversity of area influence large impact on ecosystem. Areas with high levels of species ,the genetic diversity is likely to be more complex ecosystem. In the complex pathways , each organisms is interacted with each other . Variety of foods and biotic interaction makes the complex ecosystem is more stable than simple ecosystem.

    10. Write a one-page summary of the attached paper? INTRODUCTION Many problems can develop in activated sludge operation that adversely affect effluent quality with origins in the engineering, hydraulic and microbiological components of the process. The real "heart" of the activated sludge system is the development and maintenance of a mixed microbial culture (activated sludge) that treats wastewater and which can be managed. One definition of a wastewater treatment plant operator is a "bug farmer", one who controls the aeration...
