Following measures can be taken to bring the aboriginal people into the mainstream

1. The majority population should educate themselves about the culture of the aboriginal people.
2. They develop a sense of respect and tolerance for their beliefs.
3. Community leaders should be consulted while addressing the issue related to their community.
4. Aboriginal culture and history should be a part of the educational ciriculum. This will help the younger generation develop a sense of acceptance.
5. Languages of the aboriginal people should be taught in school and colleges to prevent them from becoming extinct.
6. Public schools should be opened in areas with high aboriginal population.
7. This will help to improve the level of education amongst the aboriginal people.
8. Special committees should be in place to study the reasons of school drop out and take measures to improve school attendance amongst aboriginal youth.
9. Mixed schools ( aboriginal and non- aboriginal student ) should be promoted. This will increase the feeling of brotherhood between people of different races.
