b) Token Ring

c) FDDI

ethernet most commonly used in LAN technology .Number of Corporation used Token Ring Technology FDDI used as backbone. A suite of application programs can be kept on the LAN server. Users who need an application can download it once  and then run it from their local hard disk. Users can order printing and other services as needed through applications run on the LAN server. A user can share files with others at the LAN server; read and write access is maintained by a LAN administrator.

Personal Area Network

PAN is computer Network for interconnecting devices centered on individual persons workspace. That provides data transmission among devices such as computersm smartphones, tablets and personal digital assistant

Examples of Wireless PAN

Metropolitan Area Network

Its span entire city or campus MAN are extremely efficient ,and that provides fast communication

The working mechanism of a MAN is similar to an Internet Service Provider (ISP) A MAN mostly work on data link layer which is layer 2 of open Interconnection model.A MAN extends upto 30-40 km

Wide area Network

A main factor impacting WAN design and performance is a requirement that they lease communications circuits from telephone companies or other communications carriers. Transmission rates are mostly 2 Mbps, 34 Mbps, 45 Mbps, 155 Mbps, 625 Mbps

We will start with a LAN environment for a small building of 50 workers on a campus of a larger corporation

used it switch joined 40 port or 60 port connecting devices centered place

firstly we joined internet service providrer to server and then join switch that switches connected to worker at place

It linked to LAN with help server and PC's

Equipment used

LAN consist of PC's and Server

Network interface card (cabling and connector) for example coaxial cable

LAN switches and Router used it
