When it comes to logistics for my business, I need to have a full-time employee on staff. This job tasking has several tasks that are required at any given time and are used more when we run an event for our customers. The logistics person keeps the field clean and mowed along with moving items around and placing them in the correct location for our customers. This person is also tasked with following the list of supplies that we have an will ensure that we order more of any given item as needed. Keeping track of these items will become more comfortable if we use SKU that we learned about last week.

3PL would come in use to help stock the significant elements that we buy regularly. The items that we use are acquired in different cycles; some could be every month where there are others that are once a quarter or yearly. Having 3PL in place that could not only carry the items that we need but follow our SKU list to see that we may be running low on any given item and send us an email telling us that we may need to will allow the logistics person more time to do other tasks.  

Find a right 3PL is going to be challenging as we use items ranging in blank ammunition to pens and paper. If we can find the correct source that can arrange to have all the items that we buy in one accessible location to send to us will give us the freedom to put certain items on an auto-ship while other we will make the purchases as we need them. Having this will free the logistics staff member to focus more on the set up for our events

Logistics is the commercial activity through which goods are transported to the customer, it is a very important activity as it provides right good to right customer on time and the company in above case decides to have full time employee for it. the decision of the company is correct as logistics involves several activity, specially when some event is being conducted for the clients, like he keeps field clean, placing items in correct location etc. for this purpose company finds SKU more comfortable. SKU or stock keeping unit is an identification code which is provided to a store or a product. It is generally in the bar code form and helps in identifying inventory in the store and hence make the work of inventory management easy. this in turn will facilitate efficient logistics management and will enable profitable retail business.

in order to buy stock company uses 3PL or third party logistics. as the name suggests in this method company takes help of third party for it's logistics management. the company outsources buying, warehousing and distribution services , this enables the use of specialized services of third party and hence the company can focus on other activities. the cyle time of the above company for different material is different so if it uses both 3PL and SKU then it will help in easy stock and logistics management. the company knows that finding right 3PL is difficult as the material need of company ranges from blank ammunition to pens and paper. but if the company is able to find such third party then it will make the work of company easy and hence the logistics staff can focus more on set up of the event.

the company in the above case has a good plan for the logistics management but they need to be very particular in selecting the third party whom they planning to outsource. if they does the planned course of activity efficiently then their logistics management can be very efficient.
