Question

(1) Radical bromination- predict the structure of the major and minor products in the overall reaction given below. Provide a mechanism leading to each, using appropriate curved arrow notation, and a termination for your MAJOR and MINOR product selection. Clearly label the initiation, propagation and steps. OVERALL REACTION: Br2 (1 molar equivalent) MINOR MAJOR PRODUCT PRODUCT (2) Diels-Alder- Predict the product of each step in the reaction scheme below. Propose a mechanism for the full transformation, using appropriate curved arrow notation. Clearly show stereochemistry! OVERALL REACTION: Ph Ph heat heat MAJOR PRODUCT

I need help with this. If possible be as thorough as possible. Any explanations would be greatly appreciated. This wasn't covered very well so I'm trying to understand it.
