Answer #1

ans)

from above data that

the correct answer is option A

C6H14 and C10H20

here it is depends only compounds disolves in like ,ie polar-polar and nonpolar-nonpolar.

Polar-polar or non polar-non polar will form homogeneous mixture but not Polar-Non polar.

A)

in the given aove examples C6H14 and C10H20 compounds are both the nonpolar hydro carbons. the other pairs are not like this. C6H14 and C10H20 are both nonpolar compounds.

so therefore here will form homogeneous mixture upon mixing.

b)

LiBr is polar and C5H12 is non polar. Therefore, will not form homogeneous mixture.

c)

Here N2O4 is symmetric hence the dipole moment cancels out and it is therefore, non polar. Whereas, NH4I has some polar character therefore homogeneous mixture will not form.

d)

Here C6H14 is non polar whereas H2O is polar therefore homogeneous mixture will not form.

so Option A is the correct answer.
