As we know that statute of frauds is generally used in to give a written proof to a particular contract with the signature on it , which gives a legal standing to it.

So, Most of the at will employment has the capacity to go beyond one year , example qn agreement  between a supplier and buyer can go beyond one year so it is necessary to have a written agreement.

In an employment agreement, it is possible for an employer to lay off an employee with out any valid reasons so this type of frauds can be avoided by entering into contract.

In the contract terms and conditions are clearly specified so it can be read clearly by both parties.
