It is a complicated question,i am trying to give you all the informations.Hope you will find it easy to understand.

If we put potassium hydroxide in water, that will make aqueous solution of KOH.

If we put aluminium chloride in water, that will react violently and form Aluminium hydroxide precipitate and HCl.

Now if we mix these two solutions together,KOH will react with HCl,and KCl will be formed. Solubility of KCl is high so that will not precipitate. Only the Aluminium hydroxide will remain as a precipitate.

But if the amount of KOH is very high, the precipitate dissolves due to the formation of Al(OH)4-.

Hope you are satisfied with my answer. If still any confusion arises, feel free to ask in the comment section. If you find it helpful kindly let me know by giving me a thumbs up. Your satisfaction is our inspiration. Have a good day.
