(about LED) In the case of light-emitting diodes that convert electrical signals into light, what properties of light can be used? wave or particle??? I know that its not corresponding to photoelectric effect. But Isn't the energy being released into the form of light a particle of light? i mean does light-emitting diodes use or can be explained by particle property of light???

7 (a)* The Planck constant h can be measured in an experiment using light-emitting diodes LEDs) Each LED used in the experiment emits monochromatic light. Te wavelength λ of the emitted photons is detemined during the manufacturing process and is provided by the manufacturer When the p.d. across the LED reaches a specific minimum value suddenly switches on emitting photons of light of wavelength the LED andi are related by the energy equation eVi hh flying lead Fig. 7.1 LED...

    1) Your company currently owns a used pump that has been damaged. A contractor has said that the pump could be repaired at a cost of $35,000, which would make the pump workable for the next five years. If you instead sell the damaged pump for scrap, you can get $5,000 for it. A brand-new pump would cost $80,000, and would last for seven years. If your company's minimum acceptable rate of return is 10% per year before taxes, which...

Light-emitting diode (LED) light bulbs have become required in recent years, but do they make financial sense? Suppose a typical 60-watt incandescent light bulb costs $.45 and lasts for 1,000 hours. A 7-watt LED, which provides the same light, costs $2.25 and lasts for 40,000 hours. A kilowatt-hour of electricity costs $.121, which is about the national average. A kilowatt-hour is 1,000 watts for 1 hour. However, electricity costs actually vary quite a bit depending on location and user type...
