1) Pollination is the causal event that leads to the effect/result of Fertilizaiton
2) Pollination is the process by which the transfer of pollen occurs to the stigma. Fertilization is the fusion of the gametes.
3) Pollination is classified on the basis of the carrier involved or the source of pollen, whether same flower, same plant or different flower. Fertilization has no such classification.
4) While pollination can only occur in plants with flowers, fertilization can occur in many organisms.
5) Pollination is an external process while Fertilization is the internal process.
