Answer #1

When we see something in our surrounding, retina will send the information towards brain with the help of visual pathway. The visual pathway includes optic nerve, optic nerve fiberes which extends towards the lateral geniculate body of thalamus and passes optic chiasm and also optic rediation which will terminates in occipital lobe of the brain. At first photoreceotor cells which are present in the retina will convert the light energy into a neuronal information. This information will next passed to the optic nerve and from there to optic tract. Inbetween, optic nerve and optic tract the information will cross through optic chiasm and later will enter at lateral geniculae body of the thalamus. Next optic tract carried the information and transmit to lateral geniculate nucleus or LGN. In LGN, the inforation get further processed and carry forward to primary visual cortex area.

In optic chaism , optic nerves are get crossed. Optic chaism is located below the thalaus and is a X like structure. Optic chiasm is responsible for connecting brain with our eye.

Light rays that enter your eye are affected by the fluid that fills the eyeball, called the vitreous humor (Figure 1). When red light from a λ=633nm helium–neon laser enters your eye, its wavelength drops to 474 nm. Use this information to calculate the index of refraction of the vitreous humor and the speed and frequency of light passing through it.
