The compound shows signal for a carbony group around 1650 cm- along with a broad absorption for carboxylic acid about 3300-2500 cm- . We can see some peak around 1480-1450 cm-, may be correspond to aromatic C=C. Its melting point is 115-117 deg C. It may be benzoic acid whose melting point is around 121-122 deg C (Aldrich).
