How does ECM or basement membrane slow down initial angiogenesis?
The process of new capillary blood vessels formation from preexcisting blood vessels is called angiogenesis. at the intial stage of new blood vessel formation , basement membrane, the specialized type IVcollagen and lamininrich connective tissue membrane underlying endothelial cell layer , the interstitial connective tissue matrix , the type I and III collagen rich ground substances , and type II collogen in a cartilage ,are broken down , therefore angiogenesis requires digestion of the ECM barrier underlying the blood vessels endothelial cell layers by MMP's.

Assume you want to slow down a 2700-lb car in a safe way, that is, you want the first barrel to slowdown the car by 10 mph from its original speed which is 60+ your birth month (so if you are born in May, speed 65 mph). 1. What is the speed of the car before impact? 2. Assume elastic collision. How many pounds does the barrel need to weigh to slow down the car by 10 mph? Give the...
