Natural disasters become more devastating when it occurs in the most populous areas of human habitations. in last few years disasters have become more frequent and more devastating than ever before because of the climate change. some of the disasters that has shook the entire world with fear are

1. 2011 tsunami and earthquake in Japan which caused almost $411 billion and huge loss to life.
2. 1985 Mexico city earthquake which caused a lose of almost 10000 to 35000 deaths. with an approximated cost of $11.4 billion.
3. Great Hanshin earthquake in Japan which costed almost $329 billion
4. Hurricane Katrina in United Nations which is tropical cyclone costed almost $164 billion
5. 2004 earthquake and tsunami in South East Asia has caused a loss of $19 billion and caused huge loss to human life. cost of mitigation and damage of property was so high as the range of disaster was so high. intensity of disasters was so high it shook the roots of the civilization of the place. and the population density was so high in the above regions effect was high. preparedness was low at the time of event of the disaster.      2019 has few of them on the same scale such as Hurricane Dorian with lose estimate of $ 3.5 billion,Alabama tornado which caused a damage of about $ 10 billion. these are few of natural disasters in 2019 that can be added to the map .
