  • Thermohaline circulations play an important role in the distribution of deep water nutrients, transporting heat, salts and gases.
  • The three major ocean bases are the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian oceans. Thermohaline circulations leads to movement of water current from northern oceans to southern oceans and back from southern ocean to northern ocean.
