c) Most rocks that can be dated are radioactive and dangerous to sample.This is not the reason why it is difficult to obtain absolute ages from many rocks because exposure to radioactivity can be taken care by using appropriate safety measures such as shielding,use of dosimeters and other general precautions which can protect from exposure to radiation.We would not have been able to know the age of many rocks and fossils if it was life threatening.
