Eye contains anterior and posterior segment . Anterior segment has anterior chamber and posterior chamber . Both anterior chamber and posterior chamber contains aqueous humor . posterior segment contains vitreous humor . Anterior chamber is present between cornea and Iris and posterior chamber is present between Iris and lens .

The retina is a light sensitive layer which contains photoreceptors which are responsible for forming a nerve impulse from light. In retinal detachment , blood supply is lost and causes the loss of vision.

Normally vitreous present in the posterior segment pulls the retina and causes retinal detachment . But in the question fluid present in the posterior chamber was asked . Fluid present in the posterior chamber is aqueous humor which is a water fluid . Fluid which causes retinal detachment is the vitreous humor which is thick gel like fluid.
