Answer 1.

Management-

In Management of CompStat effective, representatives are required to provide weekly crime complaint, arrest, and activity, as well as significant cases, crime patterns, and police activities. Commanders must work on what has been done to reduce crime in the districts under their command. Depending on the intelligence gleaned from the CompStat system, police chiefs and captains develop a targeted strategy for fighting crime. The Compstat unit issues also weekly commander profile reports measuring the performance of precinct commanders.

Organization-

Public officials in New York City believed that police could be more effective in reducing crime which is beneficial for the public and if operational decisions took place at the precinct level then it will be good for future. CompStat gave precinct commanders more responsibility on work to secure. In the past, commanders were evaluated primarily on the basis of their administrative skills. Now they are held directly accountable for reducing crime in their area of command. If decision-makers had better information then it will be good for commanders.

Technology-

CompStat has many technologies that are used for the police force to secure them and the system includes a city-wide database of all crime and enforcement activities as reported by each precinct. The system analyzes the data and produces a weekly CompStat report on criminal complaints and arrest activity at the precinct, patrol borough, and city-wide levels. The CompStat data can be displayed on maps showing crime and arrest locations, crime "hot spots" all are using MapInfo geographic information system software technology to declare the information. Commander's technology is very advanced as compared to other police, so visual presentations like charts, tables, and graphs help precinct commanders and members of NYPD's executive staff to quickly identify patterns and trends are a better way to describe.

Answer 2.

No, I don’t think they can effectively combat crime without CompStat. Without the CompStat System, it does not affect because CompStat collects and tracks crime complaints, arrests, crime patterns, and police activities. CompStat can determine what area within a district has an increased amount of activity. The police department can view this on the map navigation and send officers with more information on the area. Police officers are sent to the proper areas rather than sending officers to an area that has very little criminal activity. CompStat is a guide that the police department can use so that they can patrol the neighborhoods more effectively. Without the CompStat system, there is very impact on a system which would be good.

Answer 3.

Officers misreport certain data to CompStat due to using bad technologies which gives misreport means to incorrect report which is not good for commander police officers, it operates all things and it can determine within a district area to manipulate. For misreporting the data, we need to do update data and technologies with advanced which is beneficial for police officers and navigate the maps and stop the crime using some patterns or tricks. Prior 30 days, and year-to-date for comparison with historical data and for establishing trends, by weekly data will be summarized for the officer. It can be detected by reducing crime which is good for the commander safety as well as for the public too. Using the method precinct could reduce the number of felony thefts considered an indexed crime and tracked by the CompStat system.
