This is totally a random question, and I'm hoping I selected the correct subject.

Basically, I read this article on CNN. And it got me intrigued.

My question is:

What causes these signals? And is that indicative of intelligent life? or just a scientific anomaly that can be explained?

These bursts or signals are caused by the galaxies (both small and massive) which is considered as high energy and it is not an indication of intelligent life as it is just a notion which is considered by many scientists wrong. It is a scientific phenomenon that can be untied if extensive researches are done since very little is known about them yet. In fact, the process that causes such bursts is still unknown but according to me, it is perhaps the high energy radio waves that causes such bursts.
