Higher education wants to develop a transport information system. You as a database designer is asked to develop a data model for the following scenario. Transport system provides facilities to students and staff commuting from their destinations across U.A.E regions using buses, cars minibusses depending on the number of passengers to a destination (places are- Karama, Rolla, or Rashidiya for example) . All the services run during the university hours with dropping university at 8 Am 12 noon, 7 PM, and picking from university at 12 Noon, 4 PM, and 10 PM in the night. Each Vehicle is tagged with bus number for a destination and there could be many buses service to the same destination. Only passengers register with the system can take the services with monthly fees depending upon the destination distance and emirates. The system maintains passenger, driver, buses, payments, trips etc. information in the system.

1. Understand the system apply system thinking approach and identify the entities required for the information

2. Define the required attributes for each entity with the type of data and size required with one example each

3. Design ER model of the proposed system using any designing tools MS Visio, stock layout or any online tool

4. Explain the relationship and cardinalities among the entities [3 marks] 5. Define any constraints required for the attributes
