Ans. D. Complimentary base pairing.

Because of complimentary base pair we put the gene in recombinant technology thats why complimentary base pairing is essential for genetic recombination to occur.

It is catalyzed by different enzymes. In complimentary base pairing DNA guanine always hydrogen bonds to cytosine and adenine always binds to thymine and the three hydrogen bond between guanine and cytosine , A-T bond contain two hydrogen bonds.
