We will call the right side, i.e. the right polynucleotide, the sense strand becs this VERTICAL nitrogen base linear sequence will determine final amino acid sequence in the protein that the DNA is coding for. The twelve triplets below represent one gene. Reading this N base sequence the blanks in Table 1 below, (the first one has been completed for you) from the top down, fill in Table 1. ONATRİPLETS Right side Ve Right side written as a Note: only the linear sequences of specific N bases have been written in Table 1 above because they are the only portion of the DNA nucleotides that are specific to each gene. You will use these bases again, during mRNA synthesis. B. DNA REPLICATION This is one of two processes that occur during Interphase S. Each whole DNA molecule (which is a 2 "sided" helix) synthesizes an exact copy, i.e. a REPLICATE, of itself. DNA Replication occurs as part of each cell's "early preparation for reproduction; which typically will include DNA division, nuclear division, and cell division. To simulate the new nucleotides that will be assembled along the original, existing DNA template, fill in the N base blanks on the next page, using a bright color pen or marker. Use the same color for all blanks. The N bases from the original DNA double helix have already been filled in for you, they are listed under the heading "old. They should match those on your original DNA molecule on page H-7
