one of the miscellaneous rates which is necessary is the nurse-patient ratio. It is important because the nurse-patient ratio helps to provide adequate nursing care to the needy ones and also it allows them to give the patient comprehensive nursing care.If a proper nurse-patient ratio is there, then it improves patient satisfaction. In most of the health care facilities, they have their own staffing standards.

A balanced nurse-patient ratio leads to many positive outcomes. The nurses show high job satisfaction. They felt that their workload is reasonable only and therefore they can provide better care.

The better the care,the better perception of the facility.

The nurse-patient ratio can be calculated by;

finding the full time nurses which is equal to the total nursng hours/1768 hours (hours per year)
