Explanation

*Pain is an unpleasant sensation or emotional feelings which normally reflects there is damage to Tissues occuring in the body .

There are 2 Types of Pain 1) Somatic pain 2) Visceral pain

*Somatic pain comes from skin and muscles ,tendons ,Joints etc.

*Visceral pain comes from internal organs like Liver,heart etc .

So both are different and sensed differently by body .

*Pain receptors are nociceptors are activated when stimulus is received by pain receptors .

*Also Pain receptors are free nerve endings present in skin over Epidermis and Dermis especially around hair follicles .

*Phantom pain is pain present even after one part of body is removed .eg Foot is amputated still feeling pain over the part which is amputated is Phantom pain .Pain in heart attack referred to shoulder and neck is referred pain and not Phantom pain .

*Brain has no pain receptors but meninges covering the brain parenchyma has pain receptors .
