Testosterone is a potent Androgenic steroid and major product secreted by the leydig cells of the testis. It's production is stimulated by luteinizing hormone from the pituitary gland.

Potential binding site:

In males testosterone carried by SHBG, is ultimately converted to the active metabolite dihydro testosterone (DHT) by SRD5A( steroid 5 alpha reductase)
