What would happen to DNA if the gel tray within an electrophoresis chamber were placed incorrectly, with the wells closest to the positive electrode?

ans: DNA would be pulled through the gel in the wrong direction.

(because DNA is negatively charge molecule so that it travel to positive electrode in electric field so that if we place wells near to positive electrode then DNA will move in wrong direction. i.e. towards the positive electrode and finally goes to tank buffer.)
