Answer #1

Stepi Find the total cost of equipment per hour Total cost per hour = cost of shovel per hour to cost of C 6 trucks per hour!

step 1

Find the total cost of equipment /hour

Total cost/hour=cost of shovel/hour+cost of 6 trucks /hour

Substitute $130 for cost of shovel / hour & $70 for cost of one truck / hour

Total cost / hour = $130+ (6 * $70)

= $550

Total cost = $550 / hour

step 2

calculate the unit cost of loading and hauling

Unit cost of loading and hauling = total cost / production

Substitute $550/hour for the total cost and 180 BCM(300BCY) for production

Unit cost loading and hauling = ($550/h)/(300 BCY/h)

= 1.83 BCY

Therefore , the unit cost of loading and hauling is $ 1.83 BCY
