Answer #1

1. The Vanguard Group, SSgA Funds Management, BlackRock Fund Advisors, Fidelity Management and Research, T. Rowe Price Associates

2. The 2018 revenue declined by 7.9% year-over-year to $21.03 billion.

3. McDonald's (NYSE:MCD) missed revenue and earnings expectations and disappointed the Street estimates when it reported third-quarter results in late October. The comparable-store sales jumped 5.8% as system-wide sales rose 7% in constant currency in the third quarter. (https://www.fool.com/investing/2019/12/03/4-catalysts-for-mcdonalds.aspx)

4. The debt-equity ratio had turned negative since 2016 due to the company's stockholder deficit. A company has a stockholder deficit when the liabilities exceed the total assets. However, the negative debt equity has shown a declining trend and decreased from 1178% in 2016 to 497% in 2018.

5. The revenue has noted a declining trend since at least 2015. However, the gross and operating margins have shown improvement over the years. Further gain on disposition of assets have translated into growth in net margins. The decrease in the negative debt-to-equity ratio is also a positive indicator. However, the company has noted negative return on equity in 2017 and 2018 which also has exuded a declining trend. The company's future restaurant innovations, menu innovation, growing base of registered digital members and aggressive adoption of delivery across its restaurants has the potential to drive the revenue and profit for the company in the medium term.
