Answer #1

1. Well it is not religions that become cults but cults that become religions.well I am not discriminating or against of any religion. But I am describing that as in history done offense. cult is a group that claims to belong to a specific religion but misrepresents any core teaching that would prevent a believer from being saved according to that religion. The Roman Catholic Church is the oldest and original Christian Church, therefore, the beliefs and teachings of the Church were directly passed onto the leaders of the Catholic Church by the apostles. The Catholic Church began with the teachings of Jesus Christ, around 1st Century AD in the province of Judea of the Roman Empire. By the end of the 2nd century, bishops began congregating in regional synods and to correct doctrinal and policy issues and by the time the 3rd century came around, the Bishop of Rome (Pope) served as the decisive authority.

Well not purely cult but islam has some cult traits

CULT: Single, unquestioned leader who makes all the rules, with no accountability to peers, a presbytery, a chapter, or co-leaders.

cult of Islam claims to be a religion with strong devotion to Muhammad and a set of unsubstantiated doctrines presented by him. Monotheism is used as a pretext to exert absolute control over the believers, leaving them no chance to question or investigate alternative paths.

cult Members are instilled with a deep fear about ever leaving the organization, and anyone who does depart is of the devil and sometimes severely punished.

cult of islam Muslims are instilled with the fear of leaving Islam. This fear comes in two forms. One is the fear of Hell and of eternal punishment and the other is the fear of being caught and put to death by fellow Muslims, including their best friends and family

It takes a number of generations for the dangerous enthusiasm that characterizes new religious movements to give way to disappointment, realism, humility, and maturit y.

2. the Ancient and Classical Worlds, religion was the basis of almost all significant cultures. It was the motivation to develop great monuments and temples which led to architecture, and it led to the creation of great works of art and literature (such as the works of Homer), and it was these that paved the way to civilization as we know it. It was often the cause of wars (such as the Conquests of Islam) and used to help people in power (like pharaohs). religion followed by the people of ancient civilizations brought them together as a society with common goals and might also have provided with the social structure.

Religion also had a major effect on their art and architecture. Whether you take the pyramids of Mayans or pyramids and temples of ancient Egypt or ancient temples in India, all had either drawings or sculptures of gods and stories about them, how they lived and soon.
