AIA(American institute of architects) EJDC( Engineers joint contract documents comittee)
Contract document: The agreement between the owner and contractor, general and supplementary conditions, drawings and specifications are all part of contract documents, but the shop drawings and product data are not a part of the contract document, in this case any addendum may also be a part of contract document Contract documents include all the designated products in the owner contractor agreement, shop drawings, submittals about physical condition are not considered as part of the contract document
Scope of work: The contractor is responsilbe only to an extent to produce the results which are only inferred to within the contract documents and get the indicated results. The contractor is completely responsible for producing a functional project,including material, labour infering from the contract document or depending on the prevailing practice to produce the intended results.
Contractors employees:contractor is enforced not to hire unskilled or unfit workers and maintain strict discipline near the work place and superintendents are required to be competent Contractor should provide competent, suitably qualified personnel and also maintain good order and discipline at the site

Errors and omissions: Any errors or omissions in the drawings or specifications are to be reported directly to the architect, any kind of non conformity known by the contractor should be reported to architect.

The contractor is required to study the drawing and specification and any kind of error or ambiguity is to be reported to the engineer directly, the contractor is not responsible for any kind of failure to report to engineer unless the contractor has known about them completely
