As per the equation 1 mole of Carbon will react with 2 moles of Oxygen. In the diagram provided, there are 8 molecules of C and 5 molecules of O2.

So, to answer the first question, carbon has most initial moles. Formula for carbon is C

Oxygen has only 5 molecules as compared to 8 molecules of carbon. Therefore, the reactant with least initial moles is oxygen. Chemical formula of oxygen is O2.

Now in this reaction 2 molecules of C react with 1 molecule of O2. So, in order to react with 5 molecules of oxygen, 10 molecules of carbon are required. But we have only 8 molecules of carbon. Therefore carbon is the limiting reactant in this reaction.
