Answer #1

Aspirin is less soluble in water.

Aspirin product is washed with cold water so that the water soluble impurities can be removed.

At lower temperature, the aspirin is very less soluble in water.

If it is dissolved in water at high temperature the solubility slightly increased and the yield of the product is decreased.

3.2.3 The device shown mixes saturated steam and cold water and produces warm water. The cold water flows in at 12 kg/s at 50°C. The steam flows in at 0.2 kg/s at 160 C. The resulting water flows out at 60°C. The pressure for all three is a constant 100 kPa. If the pipe out has a 0.03 m diameter, what is the mass flow rate and velocity of the water coming out. An ice cube floats in a beaker of ice cold water. Since the water is ice cold, the ice cube is not melting and hence its volume is not changing. The density of water and ice are, respectively, ρw = 1,000 kg/m3 and ρi = 917 kg/m3. (Assume one of the ice cube's faces is parallel to the water's surface.)
